Human Ecology Research is the official research journal of the Korean Home Economics Association. The tradition of excellence in this peer-reviewed scientific journal, established in 1959, continues today. The Korean Home Economics Association aims to stimulate research and practice across broad areas of home economics. The journal publishes peer-reviewed original manuscripts dealing with home economics issues from the fields of food and nutrition, clothing and textiles, children and families, family resources and consumption, housing, home economics education, and human ecological convergence. The journal is published four times a year.
Year of launching and frequency
The first issue of Human Ecology Research [formerly known as the Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association, ISSN 1225-0937(Print), ISSN 2234-2818(Online)] and Family and Environment Research, ISSN 2288-3541(Print), ISSN 2288-355X(Online)] was published in November 1959. The journal continued as the Journal of the Korean Home Economics Association until April 2013, and Family and Environment Research until December 2022. The journal title has been changed and now Human Ecology Research [ISSN 2982-5725 (Print)] is published four times a year. The publication dates are February 28, May 30, August 30, and November 30. dates are the last days of February, May, August, November.
